Module 2, first session (live)

looking to the second module:  --- = practical notes

- More ethics portal link - to book tutorials

- 14th session

Asking questions or doing something is a good way to approach your topic:

- Is there something to be explored, from a encounter that you have had? explore it for clarification.

- Choose something that you are fascinated by or choose something that effects you enough to concentrate on for 12 weeks or more.

- Examples of questions we can ask, eg, what aspect of my practice that I want to develop, is there something that has a particular technique/skill you want to have. You do not need to be an expert but at least have a basic understanding.

- You can use inspiration finding different practitioners.

- Research ethics and research design should be great to protecting yourself and the people you interview.

- Auto ethnography - self examination

what outcomes do you want to achieve?

We are hoping for an outcome to benefit us, or people in the industry or students etc. noticing what works and what docent work, how to grow from there.

What changes do you want to make to your practice.

It dose not necessarily need to be linked to your practice essay.

How do you want to define your practice in a more specialised way, or do you have ideas about your approach to your practice.

Exercise:

What is the most exiting aspect of my practice?

I find this hard to answer there are many existing parts of my practice, id say one of my favourite things is discovering new approaches to my art, as I have kind of covering in one of the points in my essay how different artist create new and original ideas. This question has been on my mind lately. I also mean this in the way of being mar might and almost refining my own poignant performing style and how others who have a similar potency refund their performance style.

From who's perspective are you doing research from?

- Onto others talking about others

- Being inside the research eg, a teacher in a classroom

- From the audience perspective

- what environment are you doing this research in/ dose it affect the research? are there rules in these spaces

- How dose this topic help me in my practice? what do I need to change, don't get limited to one conversation you can start many.

We can get others information not just speak about them.
