Module 1, Session 3 Solar System (Live)

 Session 3 My solar system: 

The sun = me, my planets as the ambition for my future carrier.

Side note - I approached this in the way of, I have a lot of goals in a lot of different things, I can't really choose one main goal as I don't have one goal that is more important then the other. So I have made some small suns with explanation being their respective planets. 

Planet 1 small sun - Creating choreography for commercial artists and live events specifically with dancehall artists such as Koffee and Lila Ike.

Things that could help me get there: keep networking in dancehall spaces ie danchall choreographers and DJs (Nadia Zefinu, Miss Rose, DHKShortman). Also keeping a good relationship with my live event agency's. As well as re reading the Kabra Nagarst (Rastapharian Bible) as dancehall is also mainly a cultural phenomenon and less so a dance.

Gaps that I want to fill: finding a dancehall glossary for all of the steps, finding more current choreographers, being able to collaborate with up and coming artists yet to "make their mark" to also understand more about the structuring and ideas behind the tracks. 


Planet 2 small sun - To have the opportunity to sing/rap at a pro level. ie being cast in a production as a singer as I see this as a challenge but also something that I hope to attain, eg six, in the heights as this is appropriate for my casting type as-well. 

Things that could help me get there: having a daily discipline of singing and farmillorizing myself with artist who have a similar range and look to me eg. Renee Elisse doldberry.

Gaps I want to fill: knowing more names of composers, as I feel I know many composed pieces but the names never seem to stick,  and their process of composing. 


Planet 3  small sun - Teaching and learning from others who push the boundary's of choreography, possibly having my own space to do this.

Things that could help me get there: Going to intensive's and workshops of established choreographers eg Galen hooks. I also think that having dancers that are interested in my work is important to be able to share it, not necessarily being famous or anything like that but having a community that value my art, which I do have currently, but aim to build more so, in terms of real life connections. 

Gaps I want to fill: Learning how to through a corse of some sort,  of how to logistically make a space like this and what needs to be done before this.

 

Planet 4  small sun - To have concord stomp in its many fasisit and master it to the point where I am comfortable to be labeled a professional drummer and body percussionist as I am not yet (even though I technically am). 

Things that can help me get there: keep learning from colleges and get back in to doing drum lessons specifically with some of the great drummers I work with, also concurring more roles to a standard that is as good as if not better then my current role, whilst doing that current role, so I have a bigger idea of the show itself. Also by watching more past shows and presses from New York the Olympics etc. 

Gaps I want to fill: not only bing able to do the two female roles but also being able to interpret a male role as well.

Module 3, week 4 Methodology

Module 2, session 2 (catch up) Literature Review

  literature review  1 - Pick and develop literature on your topic  - research the question you are trying to answer, Use key words to look up these topics. great if the reserch is pier reviewed and acedmic.  2 - Evaluate and select sources - read the intro, read the conclusion, what are the key concepts mentioned, what topic is the suture talking about. agreeing and disagreeing with opinions put across in the research.  What question or problem is the author addressing?
