Writing activity

What is writing?

I think that writing is a form of comunications to help describe and get across information to other poeple. I also think that it is a way of storing information that can outlive us as there are many things written that we still learn from today. writing is also a physical thing is is the art of being able to control your hand and your head in order to get your point across. staying on the theme of this being a physical activity it also is the main thing that helps perfect our motor skills when children, so it is also a developmental milestone within childrearing and care. I am running out of ideas and it is very hard not to edit as I go, I do think this is going to be entertaining to read back and laugh at how many spelling mistakes there are. spelling is also something that is useful when trying to put a point across as some people often have trouble rerading my spelling --- prime example. I wonder how long we have left, I hope the task is done soon this is a little tourtourse, please now any minute , my fingers are getting tired , I wonder how everyone else has done or what they have wrirtten about.

Now elaborate on your highlighted points...

form of communication - its the main way that we communicate when not talking, its one of the things that has advanced us as a species as this allows for understanding of other peoples perspectives.

Storing information that can outlive us - I think back to one of my favourite series "the last kingdom" in which king Alfreds prized possessions were his chronicles as they would tell his story long after this.

Helps perfect our motor skills - I see this as relevant as a teacher.

Comment on others definitions

"Writing is like prostitution. first you do it for love, and then for a few close friends, and then for money." (Molirer) - I agree and disagree, I get what they mean, I agree in the sense that most of us have benefited from the skill of writing weather that be academic or monitory but I disagree in the sense that I have not met sex workers that do it for "love" usually this is to provide and get money, I don't think they have the luxury well most for doing it out of love its out of necessity. and for some writing is a necessity, but not in the life or death sense as most sex workers have.
